Many years ago, a photographer friend suggested I should focus on just one thing. I chose a different path. Variety is what keeps my work fresh, creative and constantly evolving, allowing me to bring curiosity, care and experience to every subject I photograph.

Equine

My approach to equine photography is calm, unhurried and horse-led. Sessions take place on location across Aberdeenshire and beyond, working in familiar surroundings and open landscapes to capture character, movement and natural interaction in a relaxed, authentic way.

Portrait

Portrait photography sessions are relaxed and natural, focusing on expression, personality and connection. Sessions take place either on location or in my Aberdeenshire studio, creating a calm, comfortable setting for natural portraits.

Wedding

Wedding photography sessions are relaxed and unobtrusive, focusing on genuine moments, emotion and storytelling. Working quietly throughout the day, events are captured naturally while ensuring key moments and portraits are handled calmly and efficiently.

While many photographers shy away from staged photographs due to the time, organisation and effort involved, we believe they are an important part of the wedding story. We are happy to take on the work of gathering people, keeping things moving and putting everyone at ease, creating relaxed, natural portraits that sit comfortably alongside the candid moments of the day.

Weird & Wonderful

The Weird & Wonderful gallery is a home for images that don’t fit neatly into a single category. It’s a space for creative projects, unusual subjects and personal work, where curiosity, experimentation and visual storytelling take centre stage.

Pet

Pet photography sessions are relaxed and patient, with a focus on personality and expression. Sessions can take place at home, outdoors or in my Aberdeenshire studio, allowing animals to be photographed in environments where they feel comfortable and at ease.

Family

Family photography sessions are relaxed and informal, focusing on connection, warmth and natural interaction. Sessions can take place on location or in my Aberdeenshire studio, creating space for genuine moments rather than posed photographs.

Product & Commercial

Product and commercial photography sessions are carefully planned and professionally executed, focusing on clarity, detail and visual consistency. Photography can take place on location or at our Aberdeenshire studio, creating clean, purposeful images that support branding, marketing and commercial use.

Landscape

Outdoor and landscape photography focuses on capturing the beauty, atmosphere and character of the natural environment. Working across Royal Deeside, the Cairngorms National Park and the wider Scottish landscape, images are created that reflect the variety and scale of Scotland’s scenery. Finished photographs are available as prints, with selected work produced as calendars to be enjoyed throughout the year.

Expert Printing

Expert printing services are available from our Aberdeenshire studio, producing high-quality prints with careful attention to colour, detail and finish. Images are prepared and printed with consistency and precision, ensuring photographs are presented exactly as intended, whether for display at home or for professional use.

How much do we charge?

We don’t offer Bronze, Silver or Gold rated services. Nor do we have set fees for this or that rolled up into expensive package deals. We strive for excellence across the board and all our services are Gold standard, regardless of the budget. If you only want to spend £500, then you will still get a top quality service. We listen to what you want and then advise on how we can achieve that. We will then provide you with a detailed quotation of what we will do for you.

How we became best among others?

We don’t have the arrogance to presume that we are. I can tell you that we are the hardest working and love what we do. There are many good photographers out there, many running successful businesses. Yes, of course we have to make a living, but I am genuinely passionate about my photography and enjoy my craft – it gives me huge satisfaction to do it to the best of my ability and bring joy to others.

How we provide best services for you?

We listen to you. We don’t serve you up a standard ‘package deal’ with ‘x’ number of hours and ‘x’ number of photographs. You may not want lots of prints, rather spend your budget on digital images to share easily with friends and family. Or, you may want that the other way round. We are not going to say that we will give you a definitive number of hours – we will stay until we get the agreed job done. We want your future business and recommendations to others, so of course your going to get our best service.

What we offer to you?

A very professional photography service formulated from listening to your requirements whether that be over the phone, internet or face to face. Every assignment is different and we love the diversity of our work and the people we meet. You will receive very detailed quotations well before our work for you commences and we would be very honoured to work with you should you choose us. We say ‘work with you’ and not ‘for you’ because we need you to be relaxed and confident with us so that we can bring out the best in you.
